Well what a weekend enjoyed by the U16/U18 squads at the Boavista Resort in Portugal.
Three days of sublime competition in one of the worlds golfing capitals saw three teams battle it out to see who would become the 2022 champions.
With a 7:30am run to start the day, 18 holes of intense competition, post round downtime round the pool, an awesome team meal and a course record 65 by Harvey Denham, you have all the ingredients of the perfect Training Day.
A fierce individual battle unfolded across the weekend with 36 holes medal on the hilly Par 71 course carved out of the mountainous landscape with a slope rating of 132. A series of further competitions including best front and back 9, most birdies across the weekend and Nearest the Pin ensured it was competitive all the way to the final putt!
Check out all the action from the first Hampshire Golf Training Weekend, the thrills, the spills and the famous face on our return to Gatwick Sunday evening!
A huge thanks to Richard Arnold and Alan Drayton from Hampshire Golf for supporting the event, Team Manager David Matthews for his continuous drive and management of the squads and the players for making Hampshire very proud on the international stage!
"Roads were made for journeys, not destinations"
Until next time...
BE Proud, BE Hampshire
