Competitors from the 2026 Hampshire Golf Disabled Championships, held at Bramshaw GC
Players were treated to a stunning autumn day, with clear blue skies providing the perfect backdrop to Bramshaw’s picturesque setting. The course was presented in excellent condition and provided a fitting venue for a championship that continues to showcase the talent, determination and enjoyment of golfers with disabilities.
The event featured two divisions, with theCounty Championshipopen to players from within Hampshire and the Open Championship welcoming players from outside the county.
The County Championship and Open Division 1 was won by Adam Dalton of Royal Jersey, while Division 2 of the Open Championship was claimed by Marc Wolfs, who travelled all the way from Belgium to take part in the event.
The day was about much more than the results, however. It was a celebration of what is possible in this amazing game and the opportunities that golf can provide for people of all abilities. Disabled golf is genuinely one of the most inspiring forms of golf to watch and be part of, with the determination and skill of the players matched by the incredibly welcoming and supportive community that surrounds the sport.
Hampshire Golf is keen to continue developing its relationships with disabled golf groups, other counties looking to establish similar fixtures and golf clubs interested in developing opportunities for disabled golfers. The aim is to build on the success of the championship and create more opportunities for players to compete, meet others and enjoy the game.
A huge congratulations to Adam and Marc, as well as everyone who took part and contributed to another memorable day. Hampshire Golf would also like to thank Bramshaw GC for hosting the championship and helping us celebrate disabled golf in such a wonderful setting.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year and continuing to grow what we hope will become an important fixture in the disabled golf calendar.
