Harrison Pake's Challenge League team faced a tough opponent in Surrey who travelled to Bramshaw GC looking to build on their strong start in what is their first Challenge League season. Team Hampshire were ready for them though and put up a strong fight in a close morning foursomes session that ended in a 2-2 draw.
The singles order was set and for a large chunk of the morning the win looked like it was slipping away with 2 of the first 3 matches going to Surrey. However, the tail began to wag and Hampshire's middle order turning the tide starting with U18's player- Connor Babington- picking up a win that set the tone for the back set of matches to finish strong and eventually tip Hampshire over the finish line by a single point.
Hampshire now face Kent in their final league match of the season which they will need to win to set up a another final for the reserves league team.
